While in meditation, shuffling the cards and attuning to the energy – I kept hearing part of a song “someone told me long ago, there’s a calm before the storm.”
The first card to come out is the Five of Wands and this card speaks of some sort of conflict. I feel as though the conflict may be internal. As if you are going through a dark night of the soul type energy or just coming out of that energy and you feel stalled or stuck and that is what might be creating the conflict within.
With the chariot I sense a forward moving energy coming in for you. This card sits in the moon energy, the forward motion may not be apparent to you right now but the card is definitely signaling some sort of progress and triumph. Followed by the Seven of Cups – the card of dreams, options, possibility and opportunity you will have lots to look forward to . . but let’s pull some more cards to clarify.
You got the Strength card – which tells me that whatever changes you are making in your life or work you are putting in to reach a deeper level of connection with the divine – you have everything you need within you to overcome any obstacles and challenges that arise. Trust your inner strength and know that the divine is guiding you. The Seven of Wands affirms that you can handle whatever life throws at you!
However, spirit wants you to know that focusing on the conflict could cause you to stall. This is not to say you won’t feel all the feelings that come with the obstacles and challenges – we are human and we all experience these feelings. But try not to stay stuck there, spirit is guiding me to let you know that the quieting of the ego is not a constant state, the awareness of the ego can be though. You will have these thoughts and feelings and occasionally they take the wheel for a bit but you have the power to become aware, and come back to center – back to yourself, and that’s what matters.
The Eight of Pentacles came out under the Seven of Cups which leads me to believe the Cups are representative of your spiritual gifts and right now you are in a development phase. Perhaps you are learning new spiritual practices such as Reiki, or Tarot – whatever opportunity that you want to take, the roads are open for you now. To become skilled at something, the only thing we can do is practice.
Another card wanted to come out – so I picked it out – I usually only pick 6 but you got The Sun! How lovely, this card signifies clarity that comes to us only after we have spent time with the darkest parts of ourselves. Spirit also drew my attention back to that song from the pre-shuffle meditation – “someone told me long ago, there’s a calm before the storm.” – So there’s this pause that you are in, I feel as though that is your current energy. There will be a storm coming or perhaps you are already in this stormy energy, a release of emotions that no longer serve your highest good. After the storm, spirit wants you to rest assured that the sun will come out, emerging from the darkness. You will rise like the majestic phoenix.
From the Rumi Oracle, the card “Resplendent With Grace” came out and I am just going to write out a bit from the oracle book that jumped out at me for you:
“This oracle comes to you with a message. You may be wondering if you can attain this next stage of growth in your life. You are already well-equipped to do so, no matter what you may believe about the situation, circumstances, others involved – even yourself. You have within your soul possession more than enough grace to see you through anything you are bold enough to envision for yourself, or for any vision you feel life has bestowed upon you. So pray, through unconditional love to access all that you are, to be supported by those beings that love you without condition. Pray to realize that you are so drenched in sacred grace that the well of your being is full. All that is needed to nurture you onto the next step of your life path is within you now. Success is yours, but you must believe in your ability, your readiness and your capacity to take this next phase of your journey now.”
As a closing message, I like to open up the Instant Magic Oracle:
“All you have to do is show up”
Believe that spirit is guiding you, know that even in the darkness they have never left your side.
I had to google the lyrics of that song that just kept coming up. This might seem strange but the song moved past that first verse and the words were not clear to me but I felt as though there was a little something that spirit wanted to add: “When it’s over, so they say, It’ll rain a sunny day. I know, shinin’ down like water” and with that I got the image of the Seven of Cups and The Sun together.
It’s all going to come together, keep showing up.
